AneurysmSRQ – Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Symptom Rating Questionnaire

The AneurysmSRQ is a self-completion measure of symptoms associated with an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) and its treatment (including monitoring and any operation/medication). This includes patients who are being monitored prior to aneurysm repair as well as those who have undergone aneurysm repair. The AneurysmSRQ also assesses the degree to which patients are bothered by the symptoms experienced. The AneurysmSRQ was developed in 2013 and validated in 2014.

The AneurysmSRQ is based on existing published -SRQ measures including the Hypothyroid Symptom Rating Questionnaire (ThySRQ)and the Hypoglycaemia Symptom Rating Questionnaire (HypoSRQ).

The specific symptoms to be included in the AneurysmSRQ were determined during focus group discussions and in-depth interviews with individual patients, followed by psychometric development.
